CALL TO ORDER— The training began at 5:35 p.m. <br /> 2. ROLL CALL— Council Members Aguirre, Bain, Howard, Pierce, Seybert and <br /> Mayor Gee present. Vice Mayor Foust absent. <br /> Staff present: Audrey Ramberg, Acting City Manager, Pamela Thompson, City <br /> Attorney, Jim Skinner, Fire Chief, Silvia Vonderlinden, City Clerk, Dave Pucci, <br /> Battalion Chief, and Stan Maupin, Deputy Fire Chief. <br /> 3. PUBLIC COMMENT— None <br /> 4. TRAINING SESSION — Mr. Pucci provided a brief introduction about the goal of <br /> the training. Chief Skinner also provided remarks regarding why the Council is <br /> receiving this "refresher" course. Mr. Pucci then covered the protocols related to <br /> opening the Emergency Operations Center(EOC), followed by clarification of <br /> roles related to Council, City Manager, and staff and hierarchy of decision <br /> making. Battalion Chief Pucci reiterated the importance of"messaging" during <br /> any crisis situation. Council asked various questions about prior experiences and <br /> lessons learned. Chief Skinner and City Attorney Thompson shared some <br /> insights and details. <br /> 5.
