7.3.A. - Page 1 REPORT To the Honorable Mayor and City Council From the City Manager April 27, 2015 SUBJECT Annexation of Parcel 1 at 787 Hillcrest Drive, Assessor's Parcel Number 058-272-320, to the Oak Knoll Sewer Maintenance District RECOMMENDATION Adopt a resolution consenting to the sewer annexation of Parcel 1 at 787 Hillcrest Drive, Assessor's Parcel Number 058-272-320, to the County's Oak Knoll Sewer Maintenance District subject to the following conditions and approving and authorizing the City Manager to execute an Annexation Agreement with the Property Owner: 1. Property owner pays a sewer facility fee of $960.00 to the City 2. Property owner pays a waste water treatment capacity fee of $2135.70 to the City 3. The property owners agree to consent to future annexation of the property to the City BACKGROUND Pursuant to the Redwood City/Oak Knoll Sewer Maintenance District Agreement dated March 18, 1958, the County of San Mateo and the property owner of 787 Hillcrest Drive, APN 058-272-320 (location map attached), has requested the City's consent to annex this property to the Oak Knoll Sewer Maintenance District. Property and property owner information is as follows. Name Assessor's Parcel No. Anthony J. Egan and Carol Egan, 058-272-320 Trustees of the Egan Family Trust dated October 16, 1989 ANALYSIS The request was submitted by San Mateo County, and has been reviewed by the City's Community Development Department. The purpose of this request is to secure sanitary sewer service from the Oak Knoll Sewer Maintenance District for the identified property. The sewer capacity necessary to service this property is provided as part of a total County allocation of 0.5 million gallons/day pursuant to the Emerald Lake Heights Capacity Agreement between the County of San Mateo and the City of Redwood City dated August 19, 1980.
