Given its Queen Anne Style design,the house likely dates from the early 1900s. In the 1905-06 City Directory for <br /> Redwood City,the city's earliest,Clarence C.Choate,a book keeper at the Tacoma Mill Company,and his wife Mary,are fisted at <br /> Jackson and Franklin, The original address for this house was 16 Jackson Street. The address later became 103 Wilson Street <br /> about 1917 when the street name changed. The Choates are consistently listed at the Jackson Street,then later at the Wilson <br /> Street,addresses until the late 1930s. in a short biography in Roy Cloud's 1928 History of San.Mateo`County,Mr.Choate started <br /> working as manager for Hull Brothers Hardware Company of Redwood City in 1911. Choate was born and raised in Mountain View, <br /> and he married Mary Genochio,a native of Redwood City, The Choates had two daughters,Alberta and Mildred. According to the <br /> City Directories,Jessie Choate(possibly a granddaughter)lived at 103 Wilson Street beginning in 1939 until the late 1940s.
