9.A. - Page 18 <br /> City of Redwood City Fire Safety First Pilot Program <br /> I. DEFINITIONS. <br /> A. "Automatic Sprinkler System"means a fire sprinkler system as defined in the 2013 <br /> California Fire and Building Codes at Section 202, Definitions, and as required by <br /> Section 12.18 of the City's Fire Code, as amended by Ordinance Number <br /> B. "Borrower" means an Owner who has been issued a Program Loan Commitment <br /> Letter and has executed all Program Loan Documents. <br /> C. "Building Official" means the City Building Inspector as defined in the City's <br /> Municipal Code. <br /> D. "Building Plans Approval" means the approval issued by the Building Official for a <br /> building permit to install an Automatic Sprinkler System in an Eligible Building. <br /> E. "City" means the City of Redwood City, California. <br /> F. "City Council" means the legislative body of the City. <br /> G. "City Manager" means the duly appointed and acting City Manager of the City. <br /> H. "Deed of Trust" shall mean the Deed of Trust of even date with the Loan <br /> Agreement for a Program Loan to be executed by the Borrower in favor of the City <br /> as Beneficiary to secure the Program Loan. The Deed of Trust will encumber the <br /> real property on which the Eligible Building is located. <br /> I. "Eligible Building" means a pre-1989 residential building with four or more units <br /> located within the City and lacking an Automatic Sprinkler System. <br /> J. "Fire Department" means the Redwood City Fire Department. <br /> K. "Fire Official" means the Chief of the Fire Department, or their designee, in their <br /> capacity as the City representative charged with the authority and responsibility <br /> to review and approve plans for Automatic Sprinkler System installations in <br /> Eligible Buildings, to review and approve bids for such installations, and to inspect <br /> and grant final approval of an installed Automatic Sprinkler System on behalf of <br /> the Fire Department. <br /> L.
