9.A. - Page 22 <br /> the plans are not acceptable,then no Building Plans Approval will be issued <br /> and the Owner will be asked to resubmit new or revised plans that correct <br /> any deficiencies identified during the plan review. <br /> 4. Upon issuance of Building Plans Approval, the Program Manager, with the <br /> assistance of the Building Official and/or the Fire Official if deemed <br /> necessary, will confirm the building permit is for the installation of the <br /> Automatic Sprinkler System in an Eligible Building. <br /> 5. Next,the Owner must submit to the Program Manager a minimum of three <br /> (3) bids from California C-16 licensed fire sprinkler contractors for <br /> installation of the Automatic Sprinkler System. Acceptable bids must <br /> demonstrate compliance with all Prevailing Wage Laws. The bids will be <br /> reviewed by the Program Manager with the assistance of the Building <br /> Official and the Fire Official if deemed necessary. <br /> B. Program Loan Commitment Letter. <br /> 1. If the Program Manager determines that the proposed cost for design, <br /> purchase and/or installation of the Automatic Sprinkler System for the <br /> Eligible Building is satisfactory and eligible for reimbursement through a <br /> Program Loan, and that adequate Program Loan Funds are available, then <br /> the Owner will be given a Program Loan Commitment Letter. The amount <br /> specified in the Program Loan Commitment Letter may not exceed $5.00 <br /> per square foot (gross square footage) of the Eligible Building unless the <br /> Program Manager approves a greater amount due to unusual <br /> circumstances. <br /> 2. The Program Loan Commitment Letter will assure the Owner that Program <br /> Loan Funds will be reserved for a Program Loan to the Owner in the <br /> amount and for the length of time specified in the Program Loan <br /> Commitment Letter. If prior to the Program Loan Commitment Expiration <br /> Date, the Owner completes the requirements specified below, then a <br /> Program Loan in the amount set forth in the Program Loan Commitment <br /> Letter will be provided to the Owner. If the Owner fails to meet all of the <br /> requirements specified in their Program Loan Commitment Letter prior to <br /> the Program Loan Commitment Expiration Date, then the Program Loan <br /> Commitment Letter shall be automatically revoked and the Program <br /> Manager will release the hold on the reserved Program Loan Funds and <br /> they will then be available for other Program Loans. <br /> ATTY/RESO.3085/CC RESO—RWC FIRE SAFETY FIRST PILOT PROGRAM—ATTACHMENT A <br /> REV:05-12-15 VR <br /> Page 6 of 10 <br />
