3 | Page February 5, 2015 <br /> <br /> <br /> 2.5 Animal Licensing Contractor: The contractor as set forth in Section 5.2 of <br />this Agreement, which is specifically charged with regulating and <br />enforcing laws dealing with animal licensing within the territorial limits of <br />the County and the Cities and pursuant to the terms of this Agreement. <br /> <br /> 2.6 Animal Licensing Program: The program within the Health System of the <br />County, or County‘s designated contract agent, or both, or such other <br />agency as the County of San Mateo Board of Supervisors may designate, <br />which is specifically charged with regulating and enforcing laws dealing <br />with animal licensing within its jurisdiction. <br /> <br /> 2.7 Animal Licensing Services Agreement: Agreement in which the Animal <br />Licensing Contractor agrees to perform on behalf of the Parties and the <br />County agrees to compensate, with County and City funds, Animal <br />Licensing Contractor for performance of certain specified animal licensing <br />services as provided for in this Agreement. <br /> <br /> 2.8 City or Cities: Any or all of the cities listed in Exhibit A, attached and <br />incorporated by reference herein. <br /> <br /> 2.9 Holidays: Federally designated holidays with the addition of Easter and <br />exclusion of Columbus Day, in accordance with the Animal Control <br />Contractor’s and Animal Licensing Contractor’s existing labor contracts. <br /> <br /> 2.10 Impounded Animal: An animal that has been picked up by Animal <br />Control Contractor, other public employee or officer, or by a private <br />citizen and deposited at the Animal Control Contractor’s animal shelter. <br /> <br />3. Each City’s Responsibilities <br /> <br /> 3.1 Delivery of Animals. Any animal taken into custody by an employee or <br />officer of the County or an employee or officer of a City shall be delivered <br />to the Animal Control Contractor at its animal shelter or held in a humane <br />way at a designated holding area until it can be picked up by Animal <br />Control Contractor. <br /> <br /> 3.2 Uniform Ordinances and Citation Authority. This Agreement is based <br />on an expectation that each City’s animal control ordinance(s) shall be <br />substantially the same as the provisions of Chapters 6.04, 6.12, and 6.16 <br />of Title 6 of the San Mateo County Ordinance Code, as amended, to be <br />effective within each City’s territorial limits. The fee schedule adopted by <br />each City shall be the same as outlined in Chapter 6.04.290 of the San <br />Mateo County Ordinance Code, hereinafter “County Ordinance”. <br /> <br />Enforcement of provisions of each City’s ordinance that differs
