EXHIBIT "A"
SCOPE OF SERVICES
Proiect Understandinp
The 2.91-acre project site is comprised of a surtace parking lot and open space
adjacent to Belmont Slough and the Bay Trail in the City of Redwood City. A power line
runs along the western boundary of the site. The project site is part of the larger Oracle
Campus located at 275 Oracle Parkway.
The project entails demolishing the parking lot and constructing a finro-story, 85,000
square foot high school. At full capacity, the school would accommodate up to 550
students in grades 9-12 with 30 full time employees. The proposed school would not
have designated space for athletics or other non-classroom activities, but would utilize
facilities such as the gym, convention center, and kitchen located on the Oracle
campus. Entitlements would include an amendment of the approved PD Permit, a Use
Permit, an Architectural Permit, and a variance for parking. A portion of the Bay Trail
adjacent to the project site may be modified based on final project design and to ensure
public access. Public parking will be provided for access to the Bay Trail.
Parking for school staff and visitors would be provided in a 30-35 space surface parking
lot. Student parking will not be provided for most students. It is assumed that students
will use public transit or be dropped off at a designated drop-off area on the eastern side
of the site. To facilitate the use of public transit, the school schedule will coincide with
the Caltrain schedule and existing shuttle programs will be available to students for
transportation befinreen school and the Caltrain stations. A small number of parking
spaces within the proposed park lot will be allotted to those students where their
schedules do not allow for the use of public transit due to concurrent enrollment at local
community colleges and participation in internships.
Scope of Work
Kick-Off Meeting
Upon initiation of the project, Consultant will participate in a kick-off meeting with City.
This meeting will be used to confirm the project schedule, work elements, and
development assumptions, as well as confirm the data to be provided by the project
team and necessary timing of that data relative to the overall schedule.
Noticing
City will prepare all notices for the project. Consultant will provide City with a project
description and project and vicinity maps for use in the Notice of Preparation (NOP) and
any other assistance requested for required noticing. During the NOP circulation period,
Consultant will attend a scoping meeting for the project. Consultant will facilitate the
meeting and present the EIR process at the meeting.
10
City Attorney Approved Version 2-13-14
