NAMES OF CUSTOMERS IN SERVICE AREA WHO WOULD BENEFIT FROM A
WATER CONSERVATION AUDIT (if any known):
7. MAXIMUM NUMBER OF CUSTOMERS YOUR AGENCY IS WILLING TO SPONSOR
FOR EACH LEVEL OF SERVICE:
a. Meter Water Budget (one time) $95 x 0 new irrigation meters =$0
b. Site Water Budget (per contact $42 x 260 estimated site contacts = $10,920
per site per Year)
c. Introductory Field Survey $250 x 100 sites = $25, 000
d. Full Field Survey $950 x 50 sites = $47,500
e. Residential Field Survey $450 x 10 sites = $ 4,500
(Large-Acreage)
To assist in estimating the total level of service for your agency's customers, please consider
the following:
(a) Meter count should include all dedicated irrigation meters plus an estimate of commercial,
industrial, and institutional sites with mixed-meters (indoor and outdoor) with a significant
outdoor irrigation component.
(b) The $42 is multiplied by the total number of site contacts sent water use budgets. To
estimate the number of site contacts, we assume 2 meters per site and an average of 1.5
contacts per site in calculation. For example, 100 meters equals 50 sites equals 75 site
contacts (100 / 2 * 1.5).
(c) Generally, 5% to 10% of all irrigation sites will benefit from an Introductory Field Survey.
(d) Approximately 75% of sites receiving an Introductory Field Survey will benefit from a
Full Field Survey.
_.
