City of Redwood City Redwood Shores Branch Library SCHEDULE We are prepared to begin work upon receiving your written approval of this agreement. The permitting process prior to exploration now requires more information, and the processing time for permits has recently increased. Permits for San Mateo County requires at least one week for processing. Our approximate schedule is as follows: Geotechnical Investigation Week 1: USA Notification and Permitting Week 2: Field Exploration Week 3: Laboratory Testing, Engineering Analysis, Drafting Week 4: Settlement Analysis, Report Preparation Week 5: Internal Quality Assurance Review, Issue Final Report FEES AND TERMS We will provide the geotechnical investigation described above for the fixed fee presented in Table 1 in accordance with the attached terms and conditions. Payment for work shall be due and payable upon receipt of Lowney Associates' statement. To be recognized, any dispute over charges must be claimed in writing within 30 days of the billing date. Disputes or questions about a statement shall not be cause for withholding payment for remaining portions due. A service charge of 1 percent per month shall be assessed on balances unpaid 30 days after the issue date of Lowney Associates' statement to compensate Lowney Associates for the cost and burden of administering the account and collecting fees owed. Requested changes to this contract must be approved in writing before we proceed. Additional services requested by you that are not outlined in this agreement, such as attendance at project meetings and preparation of draft reports, will be charged on a time- and-expense basis.
