Building, <br /> surrounding the pool area . This area contains approximately 3,602 square feet of pervious pavers. <br /> 1. Routine Maintenance Activities <br /> The principal maintenance objective is to prevent sediment buildup and clogging , which <br /> reduces the surface infiltration rate and pollutant removal efficiency. Routine maintenance <br /> activities, and the frequency at which they will be conducted, are shown in Table 1 . <br /> Table 1 <br /> Routine Maintenance Activities for Infiltration Trenches <br /> No. Maintenance Task Frequency of Task <br /> 1 Prevent soil from washing or blowing onto the pavement. 2-4 times annually, or as needed <br /> Do not store sand, soil, mulch, or other landscaping <br /> materials on pervious paver surfaces. <br /> 2 Conduct preventative surface cleaning, using 2-4 times annually, or as needed <br /> commercially available regenerative air or vacuum <br /> sweepers, to remove sediment and debris. <br /> 3 Check for sediment and debris accumulation. 2-4 times annually, or as needed <br /> 4 Check for standing water on the pavement within 30 2-4 limes annually, or as needed <br /> minutes after a storm event if possible. Standing water <br /> indicates that restorative cleaning may be required. <br /> 5 Inspect pervious paving for any signs of pavement failure. 2-4 times annually, or as needed <br /> 6 Inspect underdraln outlets annually, preferably before the 2-4 times annually, or as needed <br /> wet season. Remove accumulated trash/debris. <br /> 7 Remove weeds from permeable pavers as needed. As needed <br /> 8 Repair any surface deformations or broken pavers.
