CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />TREE MAINTENANCE LEADER (Continued) <br />Physical Characteristics: <br />Must be able to perform heavy manual labor, work outside in varying climatic <br />conditions, and climb trees. <br />Experience and Training Guidelines: <br />Any combination of experience and education that would likely provide the <br />required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the <br />knowledge and abilities would be: <br />Experience: <br />Three years experience performing journey level tree maintenance <br />work. <br />Education: <br />Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by <br />specialized training in tree maintenance and arboriculture. <br />License or Certificate: <br />Possession of a valid Class A California Driver's License. <br />Desirable to possess an Arborist Certification. <br />Effective Date: May 2004 <br />Bargaining Group: Service Employees' International Union - Local 715 <br />
