___--------.i... <br /> • '� •~ ~ NWW�� "�' <br /> "The term 'pool' shall: not include tanks or ponds used <br /> in connection with a commercial or industrial process unless <br /> such tanks or ponds are located in a district zoned princi- <br /> pally for dwellings by the Redwood City Zoning Ordinance . <br /> "The term 'pool' shall not include swimming pools which <br /> are located outside of any district zoned principally for <br /> dwellings by the Redwood City Zoning Ordinance if the person <br /> in possession of the real property upon which the pool is <br /> located provides either: (a) constant supervision of the <br /> pool area at all times, or (b) lighting of the pool area, <br /> to the Building Inspector's satisfaction, from dusk to dawn." <br /> SECTION 3. Section 6 of the above mentioned Ordinance <br /> No. 994 is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> "SECTION 6. Application. The provisions of this ordi- <br /> nance shall be applied uniformly to pools presently in ex- <br /> istence as well as to future construction. <br /> SECTION 4. Section 5.5 is added to the above mentioned <br /> Ordinance No. 994, to read as follows: <br /> "SECTION 5.5 Exceptions. The Building Inspector may <br /> approve a fence of a height less than that required by this <br /> ordinance, or the elimination of such fence, if he finds <br /> that access to a pool area is precluded by i.mprovements <br /> constructed on adjoining land or by the terrain adjoining <br /> the pool area. Such approval shall not relieve the property <br /> owner from complying with the provisions of this ordinance <br /> � at such time as the adjoining i.mprovements are altered or <br /> removed or the terrain altered to permit access to the pool <br /> area." <br /> SECTION 5.
