It is the present policy of the Council of the City of Redwood City to establish and maintain the allocations of sales and use tax revenues in the c�anner established and provided for in this ordinance; provided, however, that this ordinance or any part hereof snall be subject to amendment or repeal by the Council of the City of Redwood City in accordance with the Charter of the City of Redwood City and the Laws of the �tate of California. SECTION 5. Section 24 of C?Ldinance No. 844, entitled "An Ordinance o� the City of Redwood City Imposing an Excise Tax on the Storage, Use or Other Consumption of Tangible Per- sonal Property,� and Section 11 of Ordinance No. 845 entitled "An Ordinance oi the City of R�dwood City, Imposing a City Sales and Use Tax; Providing for the Ferformance by zhe State Board of Equalization of all Functions Iizcident to the Administra- tion, Operation and Collection of the Sales and Use T� Hereby Imposed; Suspending the Provisions of Ordinances Nos. 845 and 844 during such Time as this Ordinance is Operative; and Providing Penalties for Violations Thereof, " are hereby repealed. SECTION 6.
