cross (X) in the blank space to the right of the word "NO" . <br /> On absent voter ballots the cross (X) may be marked with pen <br /> or pencil. <br /> Where voting machines are used at said general <br /> municipal election and special municipal bond eleetion consoli- <br /> dated therewith, said voting machines shall be arranged (1) so <br /> that any qualified elector may vote for the proposition by <br /> pulling down a lever to the right of the word "YES" under or <br /> near a statement of the proposition appearing on cardboard, <br /> paper or other material placed on the front of the machine, and <br /> said act shall constitute a vote for the proposition; and (2) <br /> so that any qualified elector may vote against the proposition <br /> by pulling down a lever to the right of the word "NO" under <br /> or near said statement of the proposition so placed on front <br /> of the machine, and said act shall constitute a vote against <br /> the proposition. Said voting machines and the preparation <br /> thereof shall comply in all respects with the requirements of <br /> law. <br /> (f) The returns of said election shall be made out <br /> and signed by the election officers and as otherwise required <br /> by law and shall be deposited with the City Clerk; and this <br /> . <br /> Council shall meet at its usual meeting place and canvass said <br /> returns at its regular meeting on Monday, the 16th day of April, <br /> 1962 (being the first Monday after said elec�ion) , at the hour <br /> of eight o'clock P.M.
