7.1.A. - Page 3 <br /> AGREEMENT FOR SERVICE BETWEEN THE REDWOOD CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT <br /> AND THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> (REDWOOD CITY COMMUNITY SCHOOLS) <br /> This agreement is made as of this day of July 1, 2015 by and between the Redwood City <br /> School District ( "RCSD ") and City of Redwood City; these entities are referred to collectively as <br /> the "PARTIES" for the Redwood City Community Schools. <br /> WITNES SETH: <br /> WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable that the Parties enter into an agreement to <br /> provide funds to continue the Redwood City Community Schools (hereinafter "RWCCS "), <br /> located at Taft, Fair Oaks, Hawes, Hoover, Kennedy, Garfield, and Hoover Schools, which are <br /> interagency school -based family resource centers providing human services, health services, <br /> educational support and community development activities to a community of approximately <br /> 3,439 students and their families; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City and RCSD will provide funding for the core operations of RWCCS <br /> while the RCSD will provide all services associated with this program, including staffing, <br /> oversight, and operations. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE PARTIES AGREE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. SERVICES <br /> The PARTIES agree to continue to provide financial support to Redwood City <br /> Community Schools to provide coordination and administrative support to interagency <br /> school -based family resource centers at Fair Oaks, Garfield, Hawes, Hoover, Kennedy <br /> and Taft Schools. These centers provide human services, educational support and <br /> community development activities to approximately 3,439 students and their families. <br /> A. Scope of Services <br /> The Parties are entering into this agreement for the sole purpose of providing <br /> assistance to and allowing the continuation of Redwood City School District <br /> Community Schools and completion of the deliverables listed below. <br /> B. Deliverables <br /> Redwood City School District staff will manage and coordinate the community <br /> school approach (including wrap- around holistic services, family engagement, <br /> extended day learning programs, and other core elements of community schools) at <br /> Fair Oaks, Garfield, Hawes, Hoover, Kennedy and Taft Community Schools and take <br /> actions to reach the goals set forth in Exhibit A and accomplish the six major <br /> purposes set forth below: <br /> Community Schools in the Redwood City School District exist for six major <br /> purposes: <br /> ATTY /AGR /2015.110 /REDWOOD CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT <br /> REV: 05 -29 -15 MLG <br /> Page 1 of 7 <br />
