7.1.Q. - Page 12 <br /> EXHIBIT "A" <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> Scope of Services: <br /> Consultant will provide thorough, accurate and professional services both On -Site at <br /> the City of Redwood City offices and Off -Site as follows: <br /> Plan Review Services: <br /> Consultant will perform plan review services for a specified number of hours as <br /> directed by the City of Redwood City Building Official or his /her designee. All plan <br /> review services provided by the Consultant will include the initial plan review and all <br /> subsequent re- reviews as necessary for building permit issuance. <br /> Permit plans and documentation for Off -Site plan review will be picked up by the <br /> Consultant's messengers or will be shipped to their main office by Fed Ex using <br /> the Consultant account number. All costs for pickup or delivery will be included in <br /> plan review fee and no additional compensation will be provided. <br /> Off -Site plan reviews will be completed within 10- working days. Written plan review <br /> comments will be delivered to the City in electronic format within 24 -hours of <br /> completion of review. When final review is approved, Consultant will deliver two final <br /> sets of approved plans with approval stamps and signatures to the city within 24 hours <br /> of final review and approval. <br /> The City may request a bid for specific plan review services and those plan review <br /> services will be governed by a different agreement and will not fall within the scope of <br /> this agreement. <br /> Building Inspection Services: <br /> Consultant will perform building and public works inspection services for a specified <br /> number of hours as directed by the City of Redwood City Building Official or his /her <br /> designee. These services will include review of all approved plans, specifications and <br /> documents, review and respond to all inspection requests and reports, attend <br /> mandatory meetings, including safety training and project management perform <br /> inspections for compliance to applicable State of California Building, Mechanical, <br /> Electrical, Plumbing, Fire codes, as well as State energy efficiency and accessibility <br /> standards as amended by the City of Redwood City. Consultant's services may include <br /> a State of California registered Fire Protection Engineer, to complete all Fire Code <br /> inspection services requested by the City, or CASp certified inspections as directed by <br /> the City of Redwood City Building Official or his /her designee. <br /> Permitting Services: <br /> Consultant will perform permitting process services for a specified number of hours as <br /> directed by the City of Redwood City Building Official or his /her designee. Consultant <br /> will assist architects, contractors and the public in accepting, processing and tracking <br /> applications for building permits, calculating and collecting permit fees, and providing <br /> general Plan and Zoning information.
