7.1.U. - Page 12 <br /> EXHIBIT "A" <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> Consultant will provide thorough, accurate and professional services both On -Site at the <br /> City of Redwood City offices and Off -Site as follows: <br /> Plan Review Services: <br /> Consultant will perform plan review services as directed by the City of Redwood City <br /> Building Official or his /her designee. All plan review services provided by the consultant <br /> will include the initial plan review and all subsequent re- reviews as necessary for building <br /> permit issuance. <br /> Permit plans and documentation for Off -Site plan review will be picked up by the <br /> Consultant's messengers or will be shipped to their main office by Fed Ex using the <br /> Consultant account number. All costs for pickup or delivery will be included in plan <br /> review fee and no addition compensation will be provided. <br /> Off -Site plan reviews will be completed within 10- working days from the date that <br /> Consultant receives plans. Written plan review comments will be delivered to the City in <br /> electronic format within 24 -hours of completion of review. When final review is <br /> approved, Consultant will deliver two final sets of approved plans with approval stamps <br /> and signatures to the city within 24 hours of final review and approval. <br /> The City may request a bid for specific plan review services and those plan review services <br /> will be governed by a different agreement and will not fall within the scope of this <br /> agreement. <br /> Building Inspection Services: <br /> Consultant will perform building and public works inspection services for a specified <br /> number of hours as directed by the City of Redwood City Building or his /her designee. <br /> These services will include review of all approved plans, specifications and documents, <br /> review and respond to all inspection requests and reports, attend mandatory meetings, <br /> including safety training and project management perform inspections for compliance to <br /> applicable State of California Building, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire codes, as <br /> well as State energy efficiency and accessibility standards as amended by the City of <br /> Redwood City. Consultant's services may include a State of California registered Fire <br /> Protection Engineer, to complete all Fire Code inspection services requested by the <br /> City, or CASp certified inspections as needed. <br /> Permitting Services: <br /> Consultant will perform permitting process services for a specified number of hours as <br /> directed by the City of Redwood City Building or his /her designee. Consultant will assist <br /> architects, contractors and the public in accepting, processing and tracking applications <br /> for building permits, calculating and collecting permit fees, and providing general Plan <br /> and Zoning information.
