These <br /> elements are also present in the design of the set -back tower atop the <br /> theater building's tar -and gravel - covered steel truss ax?w The open ste« l <br /> framed tower• was dramatically back-lit at tight. <br /> Fenestration along the Broadway street elevation is characterized by a <br /> variety of plate -glass store fronts flanking the recessed, ce trai box -of lee <br /> lobhv. The lobby was remodeled in 1950 in a S ouras -style duke -over with <br /> recessed cove lighting in the ceiling and a stylized flora -pattern teraz o <br /> floor. The ornate ticket kiosk from this period is flo longer present. <br /> Tc the west, along Broadway, is the Tudor arched entry to the theater <br /> building's upper floors. This feature is capped by a larger version of the <br /> lar brequin -Like parapet detail with the addition of a raised central <br /> car:ouche. The deeply recessed entryway carries the Tudor design motif as a <br /> rihhed vault, terminating in double glass -pane! hardwood doors with a <br /> ransom above. The west wall of the entry is marled with three, tali Tudor <br /> display windows. The oral 1928 hanging -bawl light fig lure is still in <br /> dace. <br /> Fenestration above the ground floor is sy±nietricai, corAs ti F, l' a row r; ' <br /> square. inward - opening wood transom windows. these are separated from <br /> the row of double -hung wood sash windows on the second floor by spandrels <br /> with blind lancet arches in relief. All window munties above the ground <br /> floor a re vertical, including those !fl the top lights of the four double-hung <br /> Tudor windows behind the theaters canopy marquee.
