Councilman Ruskin announced that the Civic Cultural Commission had a very nice <br /> event, an Art Contest in our local schools, and the students were given prizes for their <br /> winning artwork. Vice Mayor Howard and Councilwoman La Berge also attended and <br /> Councilman Ruskin commended the Civic Cultural Commission for that event. <br /> B. Mayor Hartnett said he had the privilege of attending the D.AR.E. graduation which was <br /> held last week, and he received many calls complimenting the police department for their <br /> efforts in the program and the City's and the Council's commitment to it. He said they <br /> were also pleased with the interaction between the City and the School District. Mayor <br /> Hartnett said he believed the event was attended by about 1,500 people in the new Red <br /> Morton Community Center. <br /> ----------------------------______nn-__n___n______--------------------------------______n______------______nn------ <br /> 8.
