Fink (207); <br /> Mayor Hartnett read the proclamation and presented it to Redwood City Fire Chief Fink <br /> with a plaque fÌom Redwood City. Mayor Hartnett thanked Chief Fink for the opportunity <br /> of working with him and for his distinguished service. Chief Fink received a standing <br /> ovation and thanked the City Council for the opportunity of working with them and for the <br /> City of Redwood City. <br /> MINUTE ORDER NO. 96 145 <br /> _____n_____n____________n______-----------------------__n______-----------------______n______------------------------ <br /> 2. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS <br /> A Tom Wooff, 3079 Goodwin Avenue, came before the Council again to discuss the legal issue <br /> he was pursuing against the City of Redwood City. <br /> Bill Mainzer, owner ofInteriors and Textiles in Palo Alto, discussed the fact that he was <br /> served with a cross complaint in the matter of Wooff vs. the City of Redwood City. <br /> City Attorney Schricker advised that the issue wi!! be settled in Court and not at a City <br /> Council meeting. <br /> Mayor Hartnett suggested that Mr. Mainzer direct his questions on this matter to Attorney <br /> Joseph Howard Jr. or his designee. <br /> B. Jerry Spillman, 44 Bel Air Way, of the Redwood City Bicycle Sub-Committee requested a <br /> grant fÌom the City for a Redwood City bike map. <br /> Bill O'Brien, 3561 Altamont, fÌom the Redwood City Bicycle Sub-Committee also <br /> requested funds for a bike map. <br /> Councilman Ruskin requested additional information about the San Mateo County Bike <br /> map in relation to the Redwood City bike map. <br /> MEMO <br /> In response to Councilwoman La Berge's question Mr. O'Brien stated that the goal is to <br /> produce 10,000 maps. Councilwoman La Berge suggested that signage seems to work <br /> better for young children. <br /> C. Bob Slusser, 541 Cringle Drive, Peninsula Celebration Association volunteer, discussed <br /> the annual Fourth of July parade. This year there is an added event, "The World's Largest <br /> Line Dance" which will attempt to make the Guinness book of world records.
