� �. <br /> , . `, <br /> in compliance with the provisions of Section 8.3 . <br /> Section 8.5 Temporary signs shall not exceed 35 square <br /> feet in area nor shall the aggregate area of all temporary signs <br /> on any parcel exceed 35 square feet. <br /> Section 8.6 No temporary sign shall be permitted on, or to <br /> extend over, any public property; provided, however, that the <br /> Building Inspector may issue a permit for the erection or main- <br /> tenance of banners, f lags, bunting and similar devices over any <br /> public right of way if he finds that such device is to be main- <br /> tained in connection with an event of a general civic and public <br /> nature conducted within the City of Redwood City. The Building <br /> Inspector may establish conditions on such permit as may be neces- <br /> sary to assure compliance with the purposes of this ordinance . <br /> Section 8.7 No temporary sign shall be placed or maintained <br /> in the zoning districts mentioned in Section 5.1. <br /> ARTICLE 9 <br /> TRACT SIGNS <br /> Section 9.1 Signs advertising the sale of five or more <br /> lots in a tract or subdivision, and hereinafter referred to as <br /> "tract signs, " shall be permitted in addition to all other signs <br /> permitted by this ordinance if they comply with all the provisions <br /> of this article . <br /> Section 9.2 No person shall erect or maintain a tract <br /> sign until a permit therefor has been secured from the Building <br /> Inspector. Applications for a tract sign permit shall be made <br /> on forms provided by the Building Inspector and shall be accom- <br /> panied by a nonrefundable inspection fee of Ten Dollars ($10.00) <br /> for each sign. <br /> Section 9.3 No tract sign shall exceed 130 square feet <br /> -24- <br />
