� ' J <br /> Section 1.11 Freestandinq Siqn: Shall mean any sign princi- <br /> pally supported by one or more poles anchored in the ground or any <br /> sign maintained directly upon the ground. <br /> Section 1.12 Interior Siqn: 5ha11 mean any sign attached <br /> to the interior surface of the window of any building or structure, <br /> or maintained within three feet of such window and degigned to be <br /> viewed pri.marily from the exterior of the building or structure . <br /> Section 1.13 Marquee: Shall mean a permanent roofed <br /> structure attached to and supported by a building and projecting <br /> ove r pub 1 ic prope rty. <br /> Section 1.14 Nonconforminct Sictn: Shall mean any sign <br /> lawfully constructed which fails to conform to the provisions of <br /> this ordinance . <br /> Section 1.15 Person: 3ha11 mean and include persons, firms, <br /> partnerships, associations, or corporations. <br /> Section 1.16 Pro�ectinq Siqn: Shall mean any sign which is <br /> attached to the face of a building or other structure and extends <br /> outwards from such face . <br /> Bection 1.17 Roof Siqn: Shall mean any sign which is <br /> maintained on or above the roof or parapet of any structure . <br /> Section 1.18 Siqn: Shall be broadly construed to include <br /> any advertisement, name, figure, character, delineation, announce- <br /> ment, advertising structure, device, symbol, or any other thing of <br /> a similar nature designed to identify any person, business, com- <br /> modity or service or to otherwise attract attention and shall in- <br /> clude all parts, portions, units or materials composing the same, <br /> together with its f rame and background. "Sign" shall include <br /> outdoor advertising displays and outdoor advertising structures. <br /> "Sign" shall include street clocks, barber shop poles, and <br /> -3- <br />
