REPORT <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From the City Manager <br /> <br />August 24, 2015 <br /> <br />SUBJECT <br />2nd Reading for the Minor Zoning Code Amendments <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Waive the Second Reading and Adopt the Minor Zoning Code Amendments <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br />On July 27, 2015, the City Council introduced the above ordinance amending the <br />Zoning Code. If adopted this ordinance will be effective 30 days from this hearing. <br /> <br />ANALYSIS <br />The zoning code amendment makes minor wording and procedural changes, removes <br />outdated sections, and reorganizes certain provisions into one cohesive article. A <br />detailed analysis can be found in the July 27, 2015 City Council staff report (Attachment <br />2). <br /> <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />1. Adopt the ordinance with changes, which could require additional environmental <br />review. <br />2. Do not adopt the ordinance. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />No fiscal impact is expected with this project. <br /> <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />A Negative Declaration was adopted for this project on July 27, 2015.
