<br /> REPORTER'S TRANSCRIPT OF PROCEEDINGS TAKEN 5-24-04 <br /> 1 for those residents in Marina Point and buildings <br />¡ 2 and Bair Island, and for the businesses that exist <br /> 3 over in the Seaport Industrial area, in the event a <br /> 4 catastrophic event happens that effected Retch <br /> 5 Hetchy, i. e. an earthquake, there wouldn't be <br /> 6 able - - there wouldn't be adequate water within -- <br /> 7 the city would not be able to give water supply to <br /> 8 that side of Highway 101. <br /> 9 And one of the conditions of approval in <br /> 10 our project is that we build 1. 5 million gallons of <br /> 11 reserve for both potable and fire protection <br /> 12 services. <br /> 13 So from a - - from a public safety <br />( <br /> 14 perspective, that one condition helps improve the <br /> 15 area for the -- helps i'mprove the entire area, in <br /> 16 terms of fire protection. <br /> 17 Secondarily, the current conditions that <br /> 18 exist today in terms of ingress and egress will <br /> 19 change with the - - with the completion of the <br /> 20 Blomquist extension, that will provide two forms of <br /> 21 ingress and egress to the site, which presently <br /> 22 doesn't exist. <br /> 23 We are in discussions with the fire <br /> 24 department about other alternative methodologies, <br /> 25 i . e ., the possibility of some sort of landing <br /> UCCELLI & ASSOCIATES 156 <br /> (650) 952-0774 <br /> ,,- <br />
