REPORTER'S TRANSCRIPT OF PROCEEDINGS TAKEN 5-24-04
going on to something else.
, 2 COUNCIL MEMBER RUSKIN: Okay.
Council Member Bain.
COUNCIL MEMBER BAIN: Thank you, Mayor.
This may not be the right time to ask this
question, but we were talking a little bit earlier
about earthquake safety and fire protection, and,
you know, worst case scenario would be that, you
know, a couple of the overpasses go down. I think
there are three different ways that you could get
there now - - two now, one if the Blomquist
extension happens.
If those overpasses go down, do you have a
\
plan to get over to those units? Is there - - you
know, I'm not even sure where to go with this, but
I'll leave it open ended, I know that the City
coordinates with OES, maybe you could talk a little
bit about what the worst case scenario would be.
FIRE CHIEF KOHLMANN: Right now I'm not
qualified, Council Member Bain, to give you the
worst case scenario. I can tell you that right now
we only have one vehicle access route to that area
and it would be depending on some enhancements to
this project to give us multiple ways in. So at
least as far as the fire department response is
UCCELLI & ASSOCIATES 172
(650) 952-0774
.'.
