This agreement <br />shall not De~ome effective unless and unlJI City shall bays entered into (i) the Retrieval <br />Service Agr.~=ment with Contract~ and (ii) City's Ordinance No. 2486 entitte~t, <br />'Ordinance Repealing O~ina~ce VI of, and A~cling Article VIII to, Chapter 14 of the <br />Code of the City of Redv~od Cil~ Relating to Abatement of Abancloned Shopping <br />Carts,' becomes effective, <br /> (b) Term. The term of this agreement shall commence on November 30. 2001 <br /> and expire on June 30, 2002; provided, that if City exercises any dght and option to <br /> extend the term of the Re~oval Service Agreement, the term of this agreement shall <br /> expire upon the expiration of the extended term of the Retrieval Services Agreement. <br /> Notwithstanding the foregoing, if the Retrieval Service Agreement is terminated pdor to <br /> the expiration of its initial or any extent!ed term, as the case may be, this agreement <br /> shall terminate and Participating Owner shall thereui~on be deemed $ non-Participating <br /> Ovmer under the Ordinance, and the exemptions from the provisions of Sections 14.122 <br /> arid 14.123 of the Ordinance provided hereunder shall likewise terminate, it being the <br /> ur~derstanding and intent of the parties that the term of this agreement shall run <br /> ccmcuffently with the term of the Retrieval Service Agreement. If, however, City shall <br /> enter into a suc=eeding Retrieval Service Agreement, ttle term of this agreement shall <br /> correspond to, and run concur~ntly with, the term of any suc~ succeeding Agreement. <br /> City shall give PaC(icil3ating Owner notice of the effective date of the extension of the, or <br /> a succeeding, Retrieval Service Agreement not le~ fl~an thirty (30) days prior to such <br /> date. <br /> 14. ~_~-t~__'_t~'ution of..Contrac:.t~,r.
