If said designation changes, the Parties shall notify the Operauonal Area Coordinator as soon as practical after the appoiatment has been made. 3. Mutual Aid. When a local emergency has been proclaimed by a Party's governing body or authorized o�icial,thc Reqvesting Coordinator may request assistance from the Parties. In situations where extreme imminent threat to life,property, or the environment exists, the requirement for a proclamation before providing assistance may be waived under the presumption that such a proclamation will be made in accordance with all local and state regulations as promptly as reasonably possible. 4. Availabilitv. The Parties agree that the mutual aid extended uader this Agreement and the operational plans implementing this agreement aze to be available and furnished in all cases of emergencies regardless of type, provided that such mutual aid does not compromise any Party's ability or capacity to respond to calls for service within its own jurisdiction. When request for assistance is received, the Assisting Coordinator will promp�ly advise of the extent of response, pmvide whatever personnel, equipment, aud facilities are available without jeopardizing the safety of persons or property within their jurisdiction No Party receiving a request for assistance shall be under any obligation to provide assistance or incur any liability for not complying with the request. 5. Return of Resources. When the Assisting Party's personnel, equipment, or facilities are no longer requitred, or when the Assisting Coordinator advises that the resources are required within their own jurisdiction, the Requesting Coordinator shall immediately arrange for ihe retum of those resources. 6. S�eeping of Resources. The Requcsting Party shall be responsible for the safekeeping of the resources provided by the Assisting Party. The Requesting Coordinator shall remain in charge of the incident or oc.currence and shall maintain control and direction of the resowces provided by the Assisting Party. The request may include the provision of supervisory personnel to take direct charge of the resources under the general direction of the Requesting Coordinator, The R�ting Party sha11 make arrangements for feeding andlor assisting personnel, and for fueling, servicing, and repair of equipment unless the Assisting Coordinator agrees that these amangements are not necessary or are to be provided by the Assisting Party. 7. Emplovm�nt Sta.tus. The Assisting Party's personnel sha11 not be deemed employees of Requesting Party and vice versa. 8. Insurance. Each Party shall be responsible to provide,in its own discretion,at its sole expense,sufficient insurance for its peisonnel and entity.
