08/24/2015 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 15441 <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> APPROVING ASSESSMENTS FOR THE SEAPORT BOULEVARD <br /> LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT AND REQUESTING AND <br /> AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY CONTROLLER TO LEVY THE BENEFIT <br /> ASSESSMENTS AND AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY TAX COLLECTOR <br /> TO COLLECT SUCH ASSESSMENTS <br /> WHEREAS, on August 24, 2015, voters of the Seaport Boulevard Landscape <br /> Maintenance District (the "District") approved, by a vote of 100% yes to _0% no, the <br /> levy of a special tax, as specified in the City Manager's and City Engineer's Reports, <br /> heretofore approved by Resolution No. 15415 adopted June 08, 2015 on each non- <br /> exempt parcel of land in the District; and <br /> WHEREAS, written notice and a ballot were duly mailed to each voter of the <br /> District at least 45 days prior the hearing on August 24, 2015; and <br /> WHEREAS, at the August 24, 2015 hearing, this City Council considered all <br /> objections or protests to the proposed assessment, and all persons present were <br /> afforded the opportunity to present written and oral testimony upon all matters <br /> pertaining to the proposed assessment prior to tabulation of the ballots; and <br /> WHEREAS, the maximum annual benefit assessment is $212,500.02; and <br /> WHEREAS, the District has the need of the services of the offices of the San <br /> Mateo County Controller and Tax Collector in levying and collecting the special tax. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF REDWOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1.
