________________________________________________________________________________________________ <br />JOINT CITY COUNCIL/SUCCESSOR AGENCY BOARD/ May 4, 2015 <br />PUBLIC FINANCING AUTHORITY MEETING MINUTES Page 5 <br /> <br />Carilee Pang Chen, Rebuilding Together Peninsula (RTP), thanked the City Council for <br />their continued support. She stated that RTP has a new Executive Director, David <br />Cattivera and Chris Wahl is the new Safe at Home Program Manager. She spoke about <br />RTP's work with homeowners who were evacuated due to a recent flood. <br /> <br />Marquisa Hawkins, InnVision Shelter Network, stated that the CDBG funds have been a <br />huge help with the families that InnVision serves. <br /> <br />David DeNola, Executive Director of the Center of Independence of Individuals with <br />Disabilities, thanked the Council for their continued support of the organization. He <br />noted that the Center will probably reach 100% of their goals in Redwood City by the <br />end of this quarter. He noted that the Center is having issues with HUD and its <br />requirements. <br /> <br />Ann Marquart, Project Sentinel, thanked the Council for funding to support this <br />organization. She noted that there is a new federal grant that will augment some <br />funding in Redwood City and help enhance outreach education services. She noted <br />that Project Sentinel has a new office on Hudson St. and that she would be sending a <br />summary of a case regarding HUD. She stated that there will be a Fair Housing <br />Symposium on May 15, 2015. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />1. Adopt a resolution to approve the 2015-2020 Consolidated Plan/Annual Action Plan <br />and authorize the City Manager to execute and file documents related to the submittal <br />to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). <br /> <br />RESOLUTION No.15407 APPROVING CONSOLIDATED PLAN (2015-2020) AND ANNUAL <br />ACTION PLAN (2015-2016) AND APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL ASSISTANCE (COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT BL0CK GRANT AND HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIP FUNDS); <br />CERTIFYING THAT THE CITY HAS FOLLOWED ITS ADOPTED CITIZEN PARTICIPATION <br />PLAN; AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION AND FILING OF ALL DOCUMENTS PERTAINING <br />THERETO (FISCAL YEAR 2015-2016) <br /> <br />M/S Aguirre/Bain to adopt the resolution as presented. Motion carried by unanimous <br />vote. <br /> <br />2. By motion, authorize the City Manager to execute funding agreements with <br />organizations identified in the Annual Action Plan. <br /> <br />M/S Bain/Pierce to approve the recommendation number 2. <br />Motion carried by unanimous electronic vote. MINUTE ORDER 15-063 <br /> <br />Council Member Bain thanked the Housing and Human Concerns Committee and the <br />nonprofits at work in the community. Council Member Howard thanked staff and the <br />consultant, noting that these funds are critically needed in Redwood City.
