Conflict with the provisions of an adopted
Habitat Conservation Plan, Natural
Community Conservation Plan, or other
approved local, regional, or state habitat
conservation plan?
1

4.4.2.1 Sensitive Habitats and Special Status Species

Wildlife most often associated with developed habitat, such as the existing park, are those that are
most tolerant of periodic human disturbances, including several introduced species such as European
Starlings, Rock Doves, house mice, and Norway rats. Native wildlife able to utilize developed
habitat include species such as the western fence lizard, American Robin, Brewer’s Blackbird,
Northern Mockingbird, Mourning Dove, House Finch, and Western gray squirrel.

There are no unique biological features on or adjacent to the fields and tennis courts that would
receive new and replacement sports lighting as part of the project. Endangered, threatened, special
status animal and plant species, or important wildlife breeding, nesting, or feeding areas do not occur
on the site. There are no waterways or sensitive habitat on or adjacent to the site. Additionally,
sports lighting currently exists on the project site. For these reasons, the proposed installation and
use of sports lighting at the park will not have a substantial adverse effect on candidate, sensitive, or
special status species or sensitive habitats. No trees will be removed as a result of the project.

4.4.3 Conclusion

The project will not impact biological resources. (No Impact)

8.A. - Page 52
