Water Edge Orientation - Occupied building space should <br /> be oriented to water edge public access ways, including the <br /> Redwood Creek frontage. This will enhance supervision and <br /> encourage the use of these public spaces. Parking garages <br /> adjacent to water edges should be faced with townhouses <br /> and/or tower lobbies. Water edge public access should in- <br /> corporate a mixture of linear urban spaces, informal <br /> fore courts and other building entry-related semi-public <br /> spaces. Arcades and other architectural treatments that ac- <br /> cent pedestrian ways should be incorporated along portions <br /> of the water edge. <br />B. GENERAL BUILDING DESIGN AND MATERIALS - The guide- <br /> lines below apply to all building types anticipated in the Precise <br /> Plan Area. Variations of texture and color should be employed to highlight <br /> building composition. <br /> 1. Complementary Forms - Buildings should be complemen- <br /> tary in terms of architectural massing/form, materials, fen- entire ground floor for a building of two or more floors, <br /> estration, rooflines, etc. or by a setback of the upper floors. <br /> 2.
