REDWOOD CITY
Proposal: Master Plan for Corrosion
The risk assessment will be based on (but not limited to) the following parameters:
1. Leak History
2. Soil Corrosivity
3. Condition of Existing CP Systems
4. Maintenance Records (If available)
5. Consequence of a failure
f) A priority list shall be developed describing which projects need to be done rust and their
approximate construction cost.
g) A schedule would be developed building on the preliminary schedule included as part of this
proposal. The schedule would also include preliminary order of magnitude costs for corrosion
control. There are several key items on the proposed schedule when V &A would meet with the
City to check the status of the project and also to determine if any adjustment in cost and fee are
required based on fmdings as the work progresses.
Task 2 - Corrosion Control Strategy

a) Deliverable: Prepare Corrosion Control Master Plan Strategy Report
The Corrosion Control Master Plan Strategy Report should be prepared. The report would
answer the questions what, when, where, why and how for the corrosion control strategy
program. What facilities will require protection; when this protection needs to be applied; why it
needs to be applied; and how it is going to be implemented? Most importandy, a section of the
report will address the requirements of the City in terms of its management and staff time that
must be dedicated towards the corrosion control program.
This report is one section of an overall Master Plan effort. The master plan will include a System
Evaluation/History (Tasks 1 & 2), Planning and Implementation Plan (Task 3) and Monitoring
Plan (Task 4). The fmal section will be a Program Matrix showing all facets for the Master Plan
including cost and schedule of implementation, etc.
b) 90% Submittal
c) Final Submittal
Task 3 - Develop Implementation Plan

~ CONSULTING
".
