Types of Software <br /> 1. Validation Software <br /> Validation software shall be capabie of the following: <br /> a. Producing an electronic validation that can be configured by time of validity and <br /> capped at a specific number, but can be transmitted electronically(e.g.emailed). <br /> b. Reading Barcodes and QR codes generated by 3`d parties. <br /> c. Tracking different vendor accounts for reporting and billing purposes. <br /> d. Allowing validations specific to some locations and not others. <br /> 2. Monthly Parking Software <br /> Monthly parking software shall be capable of the following: <br /> a. Transmitting the number of patrons at a facility and across the entire network through <br /> to the CMS. <br /> b. Communicating payment and non-payment to the access equipment controlling <br /> ingress and egress. <br /> c. Allowing for the defining of ingress and egress rights for defined operating hours. (e.g., <br /> evenings after 6 p.m.through to 8 a.m. Monday through Friday; or Day, Night, <br /> Weekends, Reserved,unreserved areasj. <br /> d. Limiting, by group,the number of in-lot access items at any given time or defined time <br /> interval throughout a given day. If a limit is met, communicating to the user trying to <br /> enter the facility that the group limit has been achieved. <br /> e. Tracking specific numbers of monthly parkers and send alerts to garage operator if <br /> more than normal/expected are attempting to park at a given time. <br /> 3. Transient Parking Software <br /> Transient parking software shall be capable of the following: <br /> a. Processing and controlling transient transactions. <br /> b. Keeping track of all transactions, and transaction types (including such things as <br /> validations or payment method) including the transaction time (the time a ticket was <br /> paid). <br /> c. Notifying and sending alarms for activities such as when the interior is accessed or <br /> when receipts or tickets are low, change money is low, or collection bins are full. <br /> d. Allowing configuration of different grace periods, to be determined by the City: <br /> 1) "Turnaround Grace Period"—An initial no charge period for someone who drives <br /> into a facility and either cannot find a spot to park or decides not to park and <br /> then shortly,after entering, leaves the facility. <br /> 2) "Central Pay or POF Grace Period" — The amount of time an individual has to <br /> return to their vehicle and drive to the exit after paying at a Pay Station or <br /> central cashier. <br /> REV:09-10-15 VR <br /> Page 15 of 61 <br /> ATTY/AGR.2015.217JScheidt 8� Bachmann USA, Inc.
