Councilman Sanfilipo added that he believed the parking was <br /> insufficient for the proposed use. <br /> Mayor Gasparini stated that she agreed with both Councilwoman Howard and La Berge. <br /> There were good ideas on both sides, but this Council was the most pro-business of any <br /> she had seen, and either way the Council votes, it is supporting business - one supporting <br /> existing businesses and the other supporting economic growth. Mayor Gasparini stated <br /> she agreed with Vice Mayor Hartnett that the way it looks now. However, the decision <br /> should be based on what is the overall best use of the area and the health and safety of that <br /> area, and stated she agreed with the existing businesses. Mayor Gasparini advised that she <br /> is also committed to making sure Gold's Gym can find a place in Redwood City. <br /> Redwood City is sending a message that it is pro-business and would like to see win-win <br /> situations for existing businesses and new ones.
