<br /> Chairman Bautista described Building Official LaTorra's success in convincing <br /> twenty-nine local jurisdictions to work together and instead of 400 different code <br /> amendments only 10 were being proposed. Chairman Bautista noted there were no <br /> recommendations regarding the fee structure, more study was needed, and an attempt <br /> was being made to match fee structures of other jurisdictions. <br /> In response to Councilwoman Howard's questions regarding requirements for <br /> reroofing, Building Official LaTorra described the impact of the proposed <br /> amendment on minor repairs, and assured the Council that the "classes" required <br /> were in the best interests of the City and the consumers. <br /> 2) Open public hearing; <br /> Mayor Hartnett opened the public hearing at 9:33 p.m. <br /> 3) Hear public comment; <br /> Mayor Hartnett asked if anyone wished to speak to this issue.
