(304) <br /> REPORT: City Engineer, December 11, 1995 <br /> In response to Councilman Leipzig's questions, City Manager Everett and City <br /> Engineer Luck explained that the retention of$l,OOO was necessary to ensure that the <br /> manufacturer would provide the schematics to the developer as promised. The $4,884 <br /> change order was necessary to cover out-or-scope additional work and represented a 2% <br /> increase over the bid amount which is not unusual for a project of this type. <br /> MIS: HOWARD/LA BERGE TO ACCEPT THE MUNICIPAL SERVICES CENTER <br /> EMERGENCY POWER AND SECURITY LIGHTING PROJECT, AND AUTHORIZE THE <br /> RELEASE OF BONDS (S.G. City Engineer Luck explained that the remodeling <br /> ran into unforeseen circumstances, the City asked the consultant to do additional work <br /> (ADA) and there were material delays not the fault of the consultant.
