The backflow <br /> preventer shall be above grade, and shall be located on private property, accessible <br /> to the Public Works division from the outside for testing. <br /> 22. Recycled water facilities shall be provided and designed in accordance with <br /> Engineering Standards for dual plumbing, irrigation and other warranted uses <br /> pursuant to the Recycled Water Ordinance, Chapter 38, Article VIII of the Municipal <br /> Code. Upon a final determination by the City that recycled water is available for the <br /> property, the Applicant shall complete an application to use recycled water as <br /> provided in the ordinance. <br /> 23. Dual plumbing is required for this project. The purple pipes shall be "roughed in" <br /> because recycled water service shall be provided by the City at a later date at a <br /> pressure of 50-55 pounds per square inch at the service meters. The building shall <br /> be designed so that recycled water plumbing fixtures on all floors of the building and <br /> irrigations systems for landscaping property function at this delivery pressure. <br /> 24. If required by the Public Works Department, the applicant shall hire an engineer <br /> licensed in California and experienced in the field of wastewater treatment to prepare <br /> a report pursuant to California Water Code section 13522.5 and in accordance with <br /> California Code of Regulations sections 60314 and 60323 (found within Title 22, <br /> Division 4, Chapter 3). The report shall be submitted with the first building submittal, <br /> and will be routed to the Public Works Department for review and coordination. <br /> 25. Due to the use of recycled water on the site, backflow protection on domestic water <br /> services shall be required. <br /> 26. Redwood City has exceeded its Peak Wet Weather Flow (PWWF) capacity in the <br /> past. A methodology to reduce inflow and infiltration by pipe replacement was <br /> determined. The applicant shall reduce inflow and infiltration to offset increased <br /> sewer demand from the project by replacing aged sewer mains or pay an equivalent <br /> in-lieu fee. The length of pipe replacement required or the amount of fee will be <br /> based on the project's sewage generation projection (Attachment L of the City's <br /> Engineering Standards). <br /> 27. Grading shall be performed in accordance with Volume III, Part II of the City's <br /> Engineering Standards (http://www.redwoodcitv.orq/home/showdocument?id=2428). Soil <br /> or other construction materials shall not be stockpiled in the public right-of-way. <br /> Applicant shall submit cut/fill volumes (CY) for all soils to be imported to or exported <br /> from the site. <br /> 28. Post-construction runoff into the storm drain shall not exceed pre-construction runoff <br /> levels.
