Claire <br />Council Member Daniela Gasprini <br />Council Member Jack Greenalch M I NUT E S <br />Council Member Georgi La Berge <br />Council Member Paul Sanfilipo CITY COUNCIL <br />Council Member Janet Steinfeld REGULAR MEETING <br /> 401 Marshall St. <br /> Redwood City, CA <br /> November 8, 1993 <br />CALL TO ORDER - 7:32 P.M., Mayor Buchan presiding <br />ROLL CALL <br />Council Members present: Claire, Gasparini, Greenalch, La Berge, Sanfilipo, <br /> Steinfeld, and Mayor Buchan <br />Council Members absent: None <br />Officials and staff present: Everett, Schricker, Jorgenson and Hildebrand, <br /> Patterson, Church, Jany, Luck, Schnell <br />-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE - Vice Mayor Claire <br />INVOCATION - Reverend Ron Williams <br />1st Baptist Church <br />------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br />Councilwoman La Berge presented Mayor Buchan with a "time out clock" she <br />received from Regina Kipp, owner of Baby Discount Mart. Councilwoman La <br />Berge hoped the clock would help during Council Meetings. <br />1. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS <br />A. Laurel Russell, representing the Clifford Elementary School Twirlers, <br />asked Council for the City's support for a Christmas Parade in Redwood <br />City. <br />B. Joe Steinfeld, Main Street Merchant, spoke to the issue of "the need of <br />revising the (Council) guidelines if the grants as awarded by the <br />Cultural Commission are to correspond to them." <br />C. John Holt, representing the Redwood City Optimist Club, advised that his <br />Club and the Interservice Council have met and want to help support a <br />Christmas Parade. <br />D. Nancy Wykoff, Winslow Street, new President of the Downtown Association, <br />advised Council that the Association was unable to sponsor the parade <br />this year and welcomed help from all service groups. <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br />MINUTE BOOK NO. 52 <br />Page No. 36 <br />
