(1():{ -0:;') <br />REPORT: City Engineer, January 7, 1994 <br />In response to Councilwoman La Berge's questions asking why engineering <br />estimates have been so much higher than the actual bids, City Engineer Luck <br />described the use of consultants with department review in establishing <br />estimates, and the unusual nature of this contract which involves four <br />different locations and retrofitting. <br />City Engineer Luck advised he would provide Council with a report summarizing <br />the engineer's estimates over the past six months. <br /> MEMO 1/18/94 <br />TITLE READ. MIS: LA BERGEISANFILIPO <br />RESOLUTION NO. 12120 ACCEPTING BID FOR THE CITY FACILITY ACCESSIBILITY <br />MODIFICATIONS - PHASE I; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; <br />AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS (Hodgson Construction Inc.) <br />APPROVED BY UNANIMOUS ROLL CALL VOTE. <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br />3. SPECIAL ORDERS OF THE DAY <br />A. Proclamation honoring Redwood City Police Sergeant Keith A. Harper for <br />being named the Air Force Reserve Outstanding Junior Officer of the Year for <br />1993; C8Ð/-o'f-ì <br />Mayor Buchan read the proclamation honoring Sergeant Harper for being the <br />recipient of such a prestigious award. Sergeant Harper thanked the Council <br />and the Police Department for this public recognition, and introduced his <br />family. The audience applauded enthusiastically and for a long time in <br />recognition of Sergeant Harper's outstanding service to his community and <br />his country. <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br />4.
