6.3.B. - Page 3 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> RECITING THE FACTS OF THE CONSOLIDATED MUNICIPAL, <br /> SCHOOL, AND SPECIAL DISTRICT All-MAILED BALLOT ELECTION <br /> HELD ON NOVEMBER 3, 2015 DECLARING THE RESULTS AND <br /> SUCH OTHER MATTERS AS PROVIDED BY LAW <br /> WHEREAS, a Consolidated Municipal, School and Special District All-Mailed Ballot <br /> Election was held and conducted in the City of Redwood City, California, on Tuesday, <br /> November 3, 2015, as required by law, and <br /> WHEREAS, notice of the election was given in time, form and manner as provided <br /> by law; that voting precincts were properly established; that election officers were <br /> appointed and that in all respects the election was held and conducted and votes were <br /> cast, received and canvassed and the returns made and declared in time, form and <br /> manner as required by the provisions of the Elections Code of the State of California for <br /> the holding of elections in general law and charter cities; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 15435, adopted July 27, 2015 the County <br /> Election Department has tallied the votes with respect to the election, has canvassed, <br /> certified and published the Official Election Results which have been received and are <br /> attached and made a part hereof as Exhibit "A". <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS <br /> FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. Attached hereto as Exhibit "A" is the Certificate from the Chief Election <br /> Officer and the Completed Canvass of the Vote and the Certified Election Results. <br /> 2. That the number of votes given in the City to each of the persons voted for <br /> at the election for the respective offices for which the persons were candidates and for <br /> and against the measures are as listed in the attached Exhibit "A". <br /> 3. The City Council does declare and determine that the following candidates <br /> were elected for the full term of four years by the following vote: <br /> Ian Bain 6,664 <br /> Shelly Masur 5,967 <br /> Alicia Aguirre 5,896 <br /> Janet B. Borgens 5,601 <br /> 4.
