ORIGINAL <br /> LICENSE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF REDWOOa CITI( <br /> AND <br /> CAHILL CONTaACTORS INC. <br /> THIS LICE E AGREEMENT ("Agreement"} is entered inta as � day of <br /> , 015 (the "Effective Date"}, by and between THE CITY OF REDW OD CITY, <br /> a arter city and municipal carparation of the State af Califarnia (°CITY`"), and CAHILL <br /> CONTRACTORS fNC., a California corparation ("LICENSEE"). <br /> RECITQLS <br /> A. CITY owns reai property located at 707 and 777 Bradford Street, Califomia, as <br /> more particularly described in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference <br /> ("City Property"). <br /> B. CITY acquired the Cit}r Property fram the Redwood City Redevelapment Agency, <br /> for the purpose of continuing the affordable housing redevelopment of the City Property. <br /> C. CITY remains committed ta development of affordable housing on this site and is <br /> planning for a senior affordable housing project. In the interim, CITY does not currently use the <br /> Property for any particular purpose. <br /> D. CITY recognizes that there are currently short-term parking constraints arising <br /> from the pressure of new development in the Downtown. <br /> E. LICENSEE is the general contractor for the Indigo construction project ("Indigo <br /> Project"), a residential development located at 525 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, Califomia. <br /> F. The CITY has improved the City Property for interim parking uses to meet <br /> specific demands until the City Property can be developed as anticipated. <br /> G. , LICENSEE had a license to use the City Property for construction worker <br /> vehicle parking during construction of the Indigo Project, which license terminated as of <br /> November 30, 2015. <br /> H. LICENSEE now desires to use a small portion of the City Property for <br /> construction worker vehicle parking, as shown on the attached Exhibit B ("License Area"}. <br /> I. CITY has determined that the temporary use proposed by LICENSEE provides a <br /> common benefit to the Downtown area. <br /> J. CITY is concurrently providing a license to the County of San Mateo and to <br /> Premia 550 Owner LLC for their shared use of the remaining portion of the City Property for <br /> parking purposes as well. <br /> K.
