-------- —v il
5.4 Significant Assumptions
It should be noted that EKI has made some assumptions regarding information availability and
other matters related to the preparation of the UWMP. To help ensure mutual understanding
of our proposed scope of work, we have identified some of the more significant assumptions
below.
• The majority of the necessary information to prepare the UWMP will be available in the
2010 UWMP, the Water System Master Plan, from BAWSCA, SFPUC and City staff,
and/or from other readily available sources;
• EKI will be able to rely on the data provided by the City and others with minimal review
or modification;
• The tables forthe UWMP will be developed using the DWR templates;
• The "optional" elements from the UWMP Act and DWR guidance will not be included in
the 2015 UWMP unless specifically requested by the City as part of an additional scope
of work or provided via the BAWSCA common language(e.g.,climate change);
• Water demands will be projected using the DSS Modet in five-year increments for the
next 25 years; and
• The City will submit the UWMP data in electronic format to DWR using their online data
management tool.
Page 24
Redwood City Pubflc Works Services Department 2015 UWMP (EKI B5078)
ATTY/AGR.2015.248/EKI - Development of 2015 Urban Water Management Plan
