ORAL COMMUNICATIONS <br /> A Joe Steinfeld, 850 Main Street, Redwood City spoke about the Assessment District that <br /> existed in Redwood City a few years ago, and suggested that the assessments banks and <br /> financial institutions had paid to the City of Redwood City should be refunded to them. <br /> City Attorney Schricker explained to the Council the significant difference between a <br /> business license fee and an assessment and advised that the City did not owe money to <br /> banks and financial institutions as Mr. Steinfeld had inaccurately suggested. <br /> MINUTE BOOK NO. 52 <br /> Page No. 172 <br />
