Council Direction on FY 2004/05 General Fund Budget <br /> Council Members made various comments and agreed with the City <br /> Manager's recommendations for the FY 2004/05 budget. Additionally, staff <br /> is to return in approximately 3 months with $1 million more in reductions for <br /> Council consideration. The Fire Department, Police Department and Clerk <br /> Department are not to be considered for further reductions. <br /> 7. MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST <br /> A. Legislation (information only) - This sub-section involves possible discussion of <br /> City Position on Proposed Legislation described in the League of California Cities <br /> Priority Focus Bulletin No. 23-2004. Council may direct staff to act on positions <br /> taken by Council. (Copies of League of California Cities Priority Focus available in <br /> City Clerk's Department.) <br /> B. Appointments to City Council-appointed Boards, Committees, and Commissions <br /> 1. Library Board (one three-year term, expiring June 30, 2007). The following <br /> applicants were considered to serve on the Library Board: <br /> . Guillermina Castellanos <br /> . Kathleen Douglas <br /> . Pamela Evans <br /> . Wendy Winkler <br /> By unanimous roll call vote, Kathleen Douglas was appointed to the one <br /> three-year term, expiring June 30, 2007. <br /> 2. Planning Commission (two three-year terms, expiring June 30, 2007). The <br /> following applicants will be considered to serve on the Planning Commission: <br /> . Karen Brunton <br /> .
