<br /> f,A-3 <br /> REPORT <br /> To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br /> And the Redevelopment Agency Board <br /> From the Ci Mana er and the Executive Director <br /> June 28, 2004 <br /> Subject <br /> Review of Redevelopment Agency Budget for FY 2004/05. <br /> Recommendation <br /> Staff recommends that the Agency Board adopt the Redevelopment Agency budget for <br /> fiscal year 2004/05 by motion. <br /> Background <br /> Staff is pleased to present the recommended capital improvement budget and operating <br /> budget for the Redevelopment Agency. The focus of these recommended budgets is on <br /> implementation of City Council and Agency Board priorities, primarily for the <br /> redevelopment of the downtown core. <br /> This memo will highlight the items in the proposed budget. <br /> REDEVELOPMENT GENERAL FUND <br /> FY 2004/05 Agency Work Program <br /> Redevelopment agencies are required by law to include in their budget a work program <br /> for the coming year. The work program for FY 2004/05 includes: <br /> 1. Complete the Jefferson Street underground parking facility. <br /> 2. Retail cinema under construction with completion early FY 2005/06 <br /> 3. Streetscape improvements around retail/cinema site under construction. <br /> 4. Completion of Theater Way improvements between Broadway and Winslow <br /> and Broadway streetscape improvements between Theater Way and <br /> Hamilton. <br /> 5. Demolish the courthouse Broadway annex and complete foundation and base <br /> for the courthouse portico restoration; begin application of fiber-glass <br /> reinforced plastic (FRP) for courthouse façade restoration. <br /> 6. Complete courthouse plaza design and construction documents; begin <br /> construction process. <br /> 7. Complete and adopt the downtown precise plan as the land use document to <br /> regulate and guide future development in the downtown. <br /> 8. Complete assembly of Block 2 and design and install parking control <br /> equipment that links the Jefferson Street garage, Marshall Street garage and <br /> Block 2 surface parking to expand downtown public parking resources. . <br /> Page 1 of 4 <br /> - _.. <br /> . - <br />
