Create decent jobs for Iow-income women in Redwood City. <br /> <br /> Objective 1.1) Create 1-2 new jobs for Redwood City residents; retain 7 jobs at Emma's <br /> in least toxic housecleaning. <br /> <br /> Objective 1.2) Women's income levels raised to meet/exceed liveable wage standards <br /> for region ($11.35 per hour without benefits or $10.10 per hour with benefits). <br /> <br /> Objective 1.3) Women's benefits increased (examples: mileage reimbursement, <br /> personal loans, educational classes, profit sharing, paid meetings, hourly pay raises, <br /> personal savings accounts, travel time paid, laundry costs reimbursed, right to use <br /> products for home cleaning, medical reimbursements, incentive program/bonuses). <br /> <br /> Objective 1.4) 7-8 women's assets increased through business ownership. <br /> <br />Goal 2. Develop women's business and leadership skills <br /> <br /> Objective 2.1 ) Women's understanding of small business enhanced (examples: learning <br /> to compare budget to actuals, transfer funds, calculate distributions, facilitate meetings, <br /> learn meeting note-taking, decision making techniques, conflct resolution). <br /> <br />Goal 3. Maintain business integrity. <br /> <br /> Objective 3.1) Business integrity and growth realized through management:: 15-25% <br /> increase in gross sales for Emma's Cooperative. <br /> <br /> Objective 3.2) Low -income women learn least-toxic cleaning methods and the <br /> environmental and safety context (15 hours of training per new cooperative member). <br /> <br /> <br />
