1/11/2016 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 15467 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY REMOVING 1016 WARREN STREET FROM THE LIST OF <br /> CONTRIBUTORS TO THE MEZESVILLE HISTORIC DISTRICT <br /> WHEREAS, on July 24, 2006, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 14723, <br /> designating the Mezesville Historic District; and <br /> WHEREAS, the historic district, as adopted, consists of the following addresses <br /> and related assessor's parcel numbers (the addresses and parcel numbers of <br /> contributing properties are in bold) 227, 245, 235, 238, 318, 330, 334, 411, 413, 415 <br /> Alden; 702, 717, 806, 719, 815, 822, 903, 1027, 1126, 1206 Allerton; 1200, 1203, 1209, <br /> 1219, 1227 Arguello; 634, 702, 710, 718, 726, 734 Brewster; 702, 712, 718, 727, 728, <br /> 735, 811, 812, 819, 821, 828 Hopkins; 240, 280, 410 Howland; 235, 243, 311, 319, 327, <br /> 335, 403, 410, 415, 421, 427, 435 Samson; 221, 227, 228, 235, 324, 328, 302-306, 334 <br /> Standish; 702, 720, 728, 902, 915, 920, 1002, 1015, 1016, 1028, 1103 Warren; and <br /> Mezes Park; APN: 052-252-(020, 030, 040, 060); 052-253-090; 052-254-(020, 030, <br /> 040, 050, 060, 070); 052-255--(030, 040, 050, 060); 052-257-(010); 052-258-(010, 020, <br /> 030, 040, 050, 060, 070, 080, 090, 100, 110, 120); 052-263-(010, 030); 052-264-020; <br /> 052-273-(020, 030, 040, 050, 060, 070); 052-274-(040, 050, 060); 052-275-030;052- <br /> 276-(010, 020, 030, 070, 080, 090, 100, 110, 120, 140); 052-277-010; 052-278-(010, <br /> 020, 030, 040, 050, 060, 070, 080, 090, 100, 110, 120); 052-281-(090, 100, 110, 120, <br /> 130); 052-282-(010, 020, 090, 100, 110, 120); 052-283-(110, 120); and <br /> WHEREAS, on May 28, 2014, the owner of 1016 Warren Street, APN 052-258- <br /> 110 (a Contributor to the Mezesville Historic District), applied for a building permit to <br /> construct additions to the existing historic resource, a one-story single-family residence; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, prior to approval or issuance of any necessary permits, the owner <br /> illegally demolished the existing historic single-family residence; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City pursued legal action against the owner and a settlement <br /> was reached, which provided a payment to the City for $25,000 that could be used for, <br /> but would not be limited to, public education enhancements of the Mezesville Historic <br /> District; and <br /> WHEREAS, on November 17, 2014, the property owner paid the settlement <br /> amount in full to the City; and <br /> WHEREAS, on April 7, 2015, the Planning Commission of the City of Redwood <br /> City adopted Resolution No. 15-06, approving Architectural Permit No. 2014-82 for the <br /> construction of a new one-story single-family residence on the lot, pursuant to a CEQA <br /> Section 15303, Class 3 categorical exemption for New Construction of Small Structures; <br /> and <br /> ATTY/RES0.3166/CC RESO MEZESVILLE HISTORIC DISTRICT DELIST 1016 WARREN RESO.#15467 <br /> REV:12-16-15 VR MUFF#612 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />
