monitor all prevention programs at Sequoia High School. <br /> § Raise awareness among all STRC partners regarding connection between AOD <br /> prevention efforts and overall youth development strategies. <br /> � Meet with SUHSD Wellness Advisory Council on issues related to AOD prevention. <br /> § Organize Health Fair at Sequoia High School targeti�g 9th grade students, inviting AOD <br /> community partners and other agencies to deliver information to students about AOD. <br /> Organize parent workshop and/or resource fair regarding AOD prevention and parenting <br /> skills. Assist in coordination of other school-wide AOD prevention efforts as needed. <br /> Redwood City 2020 will work closely with the STRC to develop and sustain programs to support <br /> students in reaching their academic and social-emotional potential; assist with resource <br /> development and with design and implementation of an evaluation model to track the impact of <br /> STRC programs. <br /> 3. Fundin . Redwood City 2020 will pay to SUHSD a total amount of $50,506.00 for the <br /> Director's Services. The maximum expenditure by Redwood City 2020 under this MOU is <br /> $50,506.00. No other compensation for the Services will be allowed, except for items covered <br /> by subsequent amendments to this Agreement. Redwood City 2020 reserves the right to <br /> withhold a ten percent (10%) retention until Redwood City 2020 has accepted the Services <br /> specified above. <br /> Payment shall occur only after receipt by City of invoices sufficiently detailed to include hourly <br /> rates, hours worked, and tasks performed, unless otherwise agreed to by Redwood City 2020. <br /> SUHSD will provide a detailed invoice, with evidence of progress in achieving defined <br /> deliverables when requesting payment. The contract will be paid in three installments: 1) first <br /> installment to be invoiced by December 31, 2015; 2) second installment to be invoiced by March <br /> 30, 2016; 3)final installment to be invoiced by June 30, 2016. <br /> The Director's yearly salary (including benefits) is $102,506 for Fiscal Year 2015-16. SUHSD <br /> will pay $52,000 of that yearly salary. <br /> 4. Status of Director. SUHSD's Director of the STRC will perform the Services as an <br /> independent contractor or employee of SUHSD and not as an employee of City or Redwood <br /> City 2020. <br /> 5. Indemnification. SUHSD will defend, indemnify and hold harmless City and its officers, <br /> agents, employees and volunteers and Redwood City 2020 and its officers, agents, employees, <br /> and volunteers, from and against all claims, damages, losses and expenses including attorney <br /> fees arising out of the perFormance of the Services, caused in whole or in part by the willful <br /> misconduct or any negligent act or omission of the Director or SUHSD, any subcontractor, <br /> anyone directly or indirectly employed by any of them or anyone for whose acts any of them <br /> may be liable, except where caused by the active negligence, sole negligence, or willful <br /> misconduct of City or Redwood City 2020. <br /> The Parties expressly agree that any reasonable payment, attorney's fee, cost or expense City <br /> incurs or makes to or on behalf of an injured employee under the City's self-administered <br /> workers' compensation is included as a loss, expense or cost for the purposes of this section. <br /> REV:01-20-16 RL <br /> Page 3 of 5 <br /> ATTY/AGR.2016.008/Sequoia HS Director of Teen Resource Center and RC 2020 MOU 2015-16 <br />
