EXHIBIT "A" <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> A. PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br /> The City of Redwood City seeks to repair and rehabilitate the Redwood Creek ! <br /> Branch and Jefferson Branch in connection with the 2016 Redwood Creek Repair ' <br /> and Rehabilitation Project. There are sections of the creek without any concrete ', <br /> improvements like the trapezoidal concrete lined channels, rectangular concrete lined ' <br /> channels, and concrete box culverts. Some of these concrete structures are showing ', <br /> signs of fatigue with increasing loads from nearby trees and/or structures. The City ' <br /> would like to repair and rehabilitate these concrete creek walls and channels in arder <br /> to improve its conditions. This project is the first improvement project for the first <br /> year of a multi-year repair and rehabilitation program. This project involves the <br /> engineering and construction services by qualified engineering consulting firm. The <br /> Consultant will prepare the plans and specifications, cost estimates, contract <br /> documents for bidding, provide bid support and construction services and prepare <br /> the final as-built drawings for the 2016 Redwood Creek Repair and Rehabilitation <br /> Project. ' <br /> B. SCOPE OF WORK <br /> In 2012, the City identified deficiencies for the concrete- improved portions of <br /> Redwood Creek and its tributaries. As a result, the City obtained permits from the <br /> State Water Board, US Army Corp of Engineer's, and the California Department of <br /> Fish & Wildlife for work on the improved portions of Redwood Creek and its <br /> tributaries (refer to the regulatory approved permits that was included in the latest <br /> request for proposal for this project). <br /> The following are some issues and deficiencies that need to be addressed for the <br /> 2016 Redwood Creek Repair and Rehabilitation Project spec+fically along Jefferson <br /> Branch and Redwood Creek Branch: <br /> Any additional deficiencies, regarding the concrete-line portion of the creek, between <br /> the outermost waypoints, shall be identified and be included in the scope of work. <br /> 1.
