FIRST AID <br />If on sldn or clothing: <br />• Take off contam1nated clothing , <br />• Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water for 15,20 minutes, <br />• Call a Poison Control Center or doctor fo r treatment advice <br />If swallowed: <br />• Call a Poison Control Ce11ter or doctor tmmediately for treatment advice. <br />• Have person sip a glass of water if able to swallow. <br />• Do not tnduce vomiting unless told to do so by a Poison Control Center or doctor. <br />• Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person . <br />If in eyes: <br />• Hold eye open and rinse slowly and gently with water for 15-20 minutes. Remove <br />contact lenses, lf presenl, after the first 5 r111nu tes, then continue rinsing eye . <br />• Call a Poison Control Center or doctor for treatment advice. <br />If inhaled : <br />• Move person to fresh air. <br />• If person is not breathing, call 911 or an ambulancP., then give arlifictal respire <br />Uon, preferably mouth-to-mouth if possible. <br />• Call a Poisotl Control Center or doctor ior further treatment advic~. <br />Have the product container or label with you when calling a Poison Control Center <br />or doctor or going for treatment <br />In case of emergency calll-800-654-6911 <br />PRECAUTIONARY STATEMENTS <br />HAZARDS TO HUMANS AND DOMESTIC ANIMALS <br />CAUTION. Harmful if swallowed or absorbed through skin. Causes moderate <br />eye irritation. Avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing. <br />Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) <br />Mixers, loaders applicators, and olhe1 handlers must wear the followill~J . <br />• Coveralls over long-sleeved sh1rt and long pants, <br />• Chemical-resistant footwear plus socks, <br />• Protective eyewear (such as goggles, saiety glasses or face shield) <br />Chemical-resistant gloves made of any waterproof material, and a chemfcal-resis <br />tant apron when mixing. loading , or cleaning equipment. <br />USER SAFETY REQUIREMENTS <br />Follow manufacturer's fns lructions for cleaning/mainta in ing PPE . If no such insbuc- <br />tions for washables exist. use detergent and hot water. Keep and wash PPE sepa- <br />rately from other laundry. Discard clothing and other absorbent material that have <br />been drenched or heavily contaminated with the product's concentrate Do not reuse <br />them. Users must wash hands before eating , drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco <br />or using the toilet. Remove clothingtPPE immecliately If pestlclde gets Ins ide. Then <br />wash thoroughly and put on clean clothing . Remove PPE immediately after handling <br />this product. As soon as possible, wash thorough ly and change into clean clothing. <br />Wash outside of gloves before removing <br />Potable water sources treated with this copper prOdLICt may be used as dnnkmg <br />water only after proper additional potable water treatments . <br />ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS: <br />Do not use In waters containing t<oi and hybrid goldfish. Not flllt:nded for use <br />in small volume, garden pond systems. <br />FISH AND AQUATIC ORGANISMS: <br />Waters treated witll th is product may be hazardous to aquatic organisms . Treatment <br />of aquatic weeds and algae can result in oxygen loss from decomposition of dead <br />illgae aud weeds. This oxygen loss can cause fish and Invertebrate suffocation To <br />minimize hazard, do not treat more than Yt of the water body to avoid depletion of <br />oxygen due to decaying vegetation. Wait at least10 to 14 days between treatments. <br />Begin treatment along the shore and proceed outwards in bands to allow fish to <br />move into untreated areas .ln regions where ponds freeze in winter, treatment should <br />be done 6 to 8 weeks before expected freeze time to prevent masses of decaying <br />algae under an ice cover. Consult wfth the State or local agency with primary re- <br />sponsibilily for regulating pesticides before applying to public waters, to determine <br />if a permit is required. Th ts pesticide is toxic to some fish and aquatic inve1tebrates <br />and may contaminate water through runoff. This product has a potential for fl.lnoff fot <br />several mont11s or more after application . Poorly draining soils and soils with shal- <br />low water tables are more prone to produce runoff that contains this product Do not <br />contaminate water when disposing of equipment wash-waters or rinsate. <br />Certain water conditions mcluding low pH ( 6.5) low dissolved organic carbon (DOC) <br />levels (3.0 mgll or lower), and "soft' waters (i.e .. alkalinity less than 50 mgll), in· <br />creases the potential acute toxicity to non-target aquatic organism . Potable water <br />sources treated with copper products may be used as drinking water only after prop- <br />er additional potable water treatments. Trout and other species of fish may be killed <br />at application rates recommended on the label, especially in sofl or acidic waters <br />as described above. Do not contaminate water when disposing of equipment wash· <br />waters or nnsate. <br />To protect listed species in California. contact your County Agricultural Commissioner <br />or refer to the Department of Pesticide Regulation's PRESCRIBE Internet Database: <br />htlp .//Www.cdpr.ca.gov/docs/endspec/prescint <br />STORAGE & DISPOSAL; <br />Do not contaminate water, food or feed by storage or disposal. Open dumping is <br />prohibited . <br />PESTICIDE STORAGE: <br />Keep container closed when not in use. Keep pesticide In anginal container. Do not <br />put concentrate or dilute into food or drink containers. Do not reuse or refill container. <br />Do not contaminate feed , feedstuffs, or drmking water. Do not store or transport near <br />feed or rood <br />PESTICIDE DISPOSAL: <br />Wastes resulting from the use of thi s product must be disposed of on site or at An <br />approved waste disposal facil ity. <br />CONTAINER DISPOSAL: <br />(F01 0 gallon non-refillable comainers only)' <br />Nonrefillable container. Do not reuse container. Triple rinse as follows: Empty the <br />remaining contents into application equtpment or a mix ta nk. Fill the container Y. full <br />with water and recap . Shake for tO seconds. Pour ~nsate into application equipment <br />or a mix tank or store rinsate for later use or disposal. Drain for 1 0 seconds after the <br />flow begins to drip. Repeat this procedure lwo more times . Then offer for recycling <br />or reconditioning if available or puncture and dispose of in approved landfill, or in - <br />cineration , or, if allowed uy ~tate and local authorities. by burning . If burned . stay <br />out of smoke. Consult Federal , State or local authorities for approved alternative <br />procedures. <br />(For >S gallon nonrefillable comainers only)' <br />Nonrefillable container. Do not reuse container. Triple rinse as follows. Empty the <br />rerna1ning contents into application equipment or a mix tank. Fill the container Y. <br />with water and recap. Replace and tighten closures . Tip container on its side and roll <br />it back and forth , ensuring a! least one complete revolution. for 30 seconds . Stand <br />container on its end and tip It back and forth several times Empty the rfnsate into <br />application equipment or a mfx tank or store rinsate for later use or disposal. Repeat <br />this procedure two more times. Then offer for recycling or reconditioning if available <br />or puncture and dispose of in approved landfill . or incineration. or, if allowed by state <br />and local authorities, by burmng . If burned, stay out of smoke . Consult Federal. State <br />01 local authorities for approved alternative procedures. <br />(For 275 Gallon refillai.Jie con/a mer vnly): Refillable container. Cleaning the container <br />before final disposal is the responsibility of the person disposing of th e container. <br />Cleaning before refilling is the responsibility of the refiller. To clean the container <br />before final disposal, empty lhe remaining contents from this container into applica- <br />tion equlpment or mix tank Fill container about 10 percent full With water. Agitate <br />vigorously or recirculate water with pump for 2minutes. Pour or pump rinsate into ap <br />plication equipment or rinsate collection system . Repeat rins ing procedure two more <br />tirnes. Then offer for tecycling or reconditioning if available or [luncture and dispose <br />of in approved landfi ll or incineration, or, if allowed by stale and local authorities, by <br />buming If burned. stay out or smoke.
